RESOURCES
The project will produce results available in the 6 languages of the partnership (EN, ET, FR, IT, RO, HR)
GOAL: The project goal is to enhance the involvement of elementary school pupils in STEM education through the use of storytelling. We emphasize the inclusion of students with learning disorders and girls.
Pedagogical framework
The project adopts an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach to support inquiry-based learning in STEM education. A special focus will be given to creativity and oral expression through storytelling skills, adding the ‘A’ of ‘Art’ and thus promoting the STEAM framework
During the project, we will create:
Galileo Galilei
Astronomer, physicist
philosopher
1564-1642
STEAM boxes
A collection of 36 STEAM boxes for students aged 6 to 12, covering various subjects and including storytelling tools. Each box will be accompanied by a tutorial on how to create them and pedagogical sequences that teachers can use to perform the activities in class.
Pedagogical guide
The Pedagogical guide will be addressed to the teachers and it will provide information on engaging and inclusive STEAM approaches in primary school. It will gather the research findings and offer recommendations on the pedagogical use of science kits and boxes.
Box creation guide
The box creation guide will be a roadmap to explain to teachers how they can create their own boxes, tailored to specific subjects, needs, or students.
Implementation guide
The implementation guide will gather the testimonies of the project from the school partners, so as to encourage further use of the project’s tools and methods by other teachers and schools.
